The splendid old fishers town Elburg with her museum in the Agnieten monastery is just 5 car minutes away. You can stroll through Elburg with her old houses.

Also Nunspeet, Harderwijk and the old Hanze towns Kampen and Zwolle are very enjoyable. And how do you think about the former royal palace ‘t Loo in Apeldoorn, the museum Kröller-Müller in the middle of the brilliant nature reserve “De Hoge Veluwe” or the Anton Pieck town Hattem? Even by bike you can bridge the distance.

Besides the many local theme markets there are innumerable low budget attractions where you can go to by car or by bike, like tea gardens, ornamentals, farm musea, cheese and icecream farms, hiking for children and many other small attractions.

Sport

Do you like swimming? There is an outdoor swimming-pool in ’t Harde (3 car minutes), an indoor in Nunspeet (10 car minutes). But if you do prefer swimming in open water you can try the “Veluwemeer” or the “Zandenplas” near Nunspeet.

You can also surfing, waterskiing, canoeing and other aquatic sports at the “Veluwelake”. ATB is still possible in the woods nearby.

Culinary enjoying is possible at various restaurants in ’t Harde (Amuse) and Elburg (Da Pietro and Achter de Poorte). And off course at De Librije in Zwolle with her Michelin-stars.
Restaurant ‘t Nonnetje (in the old fishertown Harderwijk) is a gastronomic surprise too.

Shopping

In the medieval towns Kampen en Zwolle are many small unique shops making it very attractive to look for special gifts or clothing. Elburg and Harderwijk are known too for their nice small shops. In combination with the many terraces it is nice to be there and to look at the passing people.
